A Norse Myth Urban Fantasy.
This original urban fantasy suspense will grip your emotions and take them on a thrilling ride.
17-year-old Ariessy is one of many sorcerers created by Freyja to protect Mother Earth while under oath to remain hidden from humanity. Struggling to come to terms with a painful past and her father's illness, she is confused by a growing number of abilities and difficulties she is not supposed to have.
Since she was young, her nan, Isobel, warned her to stay away from Odin's wolf-shifters, they uphold laws which protect humanity from other supernatural races, and they won't make any exceptions for her. Only one thing is guaranteed, if the wolves discover her secret, her life will never be the same again, and they will.
When Isobel's disappearance coincides with the re-emergence of an ancient rebel coven, the Wolves question her involvement and Ariessy is determined to find her.
Ariessy must learn who she can trust if she wants to survive on Earth, because danger is closer than she thinks, and death is only a heartbeat away.
The slow-burn paranormal romance makes an enticing addition to this mythological mystery as Ariessy finds herself torn between two worlds.

" At the start of the book, it seems like the story might be a little similar to Harry Potter, albeit from a teacher’s point of view, but it quickly turns into a fantastic combination of magic and mythology. The beauty of the Welsh countryside provides a captivating setting for the intrigue of Norse legends as Essy’s preconceptions are challenged and changed with an alarming quickness. There is an alluring romantic aspect woven throughout this novel as well. Ariessy’s is an emotive and engaging character who is headstrong and intelligent. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the story and had a hard time putting it down. The blend of existing mythology and the magic system created by Arthur make for a riveting story. Ariessy of Midgard is an emotional fantasy adventure story that expertly hits all the right notes for young adult fantasy fans looking for an easy story with a unique blend of Norse mythology to get lost in." "I really loved this book. It normally takes me a long time to read a book as get easily distracted but this was a nice easy book to read. There aren’t too many characters that it becomes confusing as I find often happens with fantasy style books. The heroine, Ariessy, is a well rounded very likeable teenager who’s older than her years but also has a very venerable side to her, I felt like I knew her personally. The story line is intriguing and I like that it’s a mixture of fantasy but at the same time quite real. All in all it’s very deserving of 5 stars." Amazon UK

Growing up in Warwickshire, U.K, L.B Arthur spent much of her youth in Stratford-Upon-Avon, watching plays at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, but it wasn't until much later, that she became particularly interested in the art of storytelling herself and her Swedish roots drew her to Old Norse myths and legends.
Arthur has created new magical creatures which give familiar stories of witches, werewolves, and wizards a mythological twist.
She is currently writing 'Ariessy of Odinstone.'
