At just 16, Callum Knight penned his highly praised book, The Secrets of My Spectrum, a heartfelt exploration of his experiences as an autistic child and teenager. Now, he has teamed up with L.B. Arthur to create children's stories based on his own life experiences to foster greater understanding and acceptance of autism.
These books feature vibrant pictures and teach about Daniel and his autism differences. They promote autism acceptance and understanding while highlighting Daniel's challenges.
Designed by Callum to be easy for dyslexic readers to enjoy, these books are a wonderful addition to any child's library.
There’s also a fun Spot the Difference and a colouring activity at the end.
Age depends on each individual child. Generally, it's suitable for children 4+ but a lot of our readers are autistic children who are much older and are looking for easy stories they can relate to.

Callum Knight, hailing from the picturesque Kent, UK, is all about raising autism awareness—starting with his debut memoir The Secrets of My Spectrum, which he impressively published at just 16. Why? To help kids like him and their parents, and to give the world a bit more insight into life on the spectrum.
The book idea was born during chats with his mum, who was deep in the trenches of her own fantasy novel at the time. Since then, the dynamic duo has teamed up on children’s picture books (two and counting), with Callum taking charge of formatting and making the books dyslexic-friendly—because why not make reading more accessible for everyone?
When Callum’s not writing, you’ll probably find him detailing cars (his ultimate zen activity). Social media may not be his natural habitat, but he’s genuinely grateful for all the love from readers and tries his best to keep up with messages. Right now, he’s busy crafting the sequel to The Secrets of My Spectrum—stay tuned!
Oh, and he’s incredibly thankful for all your support—it’s what keeps him going!

L.B. Arthur is a silver award-winning author of Ariessy of Midgard, an electrifying urban fantasy brimming with dark magic, thrilling adventure, and complex characters. Drawing inspiration from a wide array of life experiences, L.B. creates captivating narratives that resonate with readers seeking action, mystery, and stories of personal growth.
Before becoming a mother, L.B. spent time working in emergency response at New Scotland Yard. This high-pressure role taught her the importance of resilience, quick thinking, and navigating complex situations—skills she now infuses into her writing. Her experience working with children, particularly in supporting and home-educating her neurodiverse children, has also deeply influenced her work. L.B. believes in creating stories that foster understanding and empathy, offering readers a window into diverse experiences and characters.
L.B. has always had a passion for storytelling, but it wasn’t until later in life that she decided to chase her dream of becoming an author. At 45, she released her debut novel, Ariessy of Midgard. Since then, she has co-authored children's books alongside her son, autistic author Callum Knight, focusing on autism awareness and acceptance, and working to help children better understand each other through relatable characters and stories.
With a deep love for writing and a passion for creating inclusive stories, L.B. continues to inspire readers with her richly woven tales. When she’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new ideas, and always striving to create stories that are not only thrilling but also meaningful.
