L.B. Arthur wrote Ariessy of Midgard while living in South Wales, inspired by the landscapes around her and her love of urban fantasy. Now back in England, she has collaborated with her son, Callum Knight, on two children’s books that explore autism from both a parent’s and a child’s perspective — On the Bus and Fireworks Night.

Her journey has taken her through childcare, emergency services support, and even a short stint in television, before stepping back to raise and home‑educate her neurodiverse children. That experience shaped her creative work and her commitment to making stories accessible, honest, and meaningful for readers of all ages.

When she’s not at her desk, she enjoys exploring museum exhibits, wandering coastal trails with the family dog, and spending time with her family.
